Plaque Psoriasis Common in Caribbean

Plaque Psoriasis Common in Caribbean www.germainewilliamsbeckles.com

WE ARE well into the Carnival season, so let us consider a few things which can be done to protect our hair and scalp. Remember that the sun can burn your scalp and skin, causing a flare up of psoriasis and dandruff, in people who tend to suffer with these issues. Although sun is good for you, sunburn is not good for everyone, especially someone who is suffering from psoriasis.

Psoriasis can be triggered from many forms of stress, as well as internal or external factors like hair spray, gels with alcohol, some forms of shampoo, or creams that we place on the skin, as well as sun burn.

Today, I choose to focus on plaque psoriasis , which is the most common type of psoriasis that I see regularly right here in the Caribbean.  It is characterised by a thick raised, silvery-whitish scale that covers the scalp, or it can be in patches.  To know more about Plaque Psoriasis click here
